Home Classroom

Due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, many students are unable to return to their regular schools. To respond to this situation, Stepping Stones is now training volunteers to teach children who are under home-quarantine.

  • To support and encourage children facing isolation and stigma due to the coronavirus outbreak
  • To increase students’ interest and confidence in speaking English
  • To help students improve their English test scores
  • To optimize students’ access to higher education (i.e., high school and university) and work opportunities in the future
  • To connect communities and promote responsible high-impact volunteering

Beneficiaries: Children who are unable to return to school due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Locations: Homes of quarantined children in rural China (supported by their parents).
