Home Classroom

This program started in February 2020, when the Covid-19 virus outbreak prevented students from attending their regular schools, and proved so popular that we continued after the children returned to school. Volunteers teach children in their own homes in groups of six.

  • To increase students’ interest and confidence in speaking English
  • To help students improve their English test scores
  • To optimize students’ access to higher education (i.e., high school and university) and work opportunities in the future
  • To connect communities and promote responsible high-impact volunteering

Beneficiaries: Migrant and rural children at their homes in different parts of China, supported by their parents.
